Craig Patterson, bassist/bartender/archivist for squid's poster boys for bad taste, The JSDB, has rededicated himself not only to resurrecting his band, but also providing a column for squid.  Presented under the masthead of Craig's previous column titled "Fourth Dog In", aging punk Patterson brings us "This Week In Music", a retrospective of all the news that occurred in the coming week in musical history.  The column is biased, nasty, esoteric, self-promoting, occasionally obscene and never bounded by reality.  You won't believe a word this guy writes.  (You're not supposed to, but you are expected to laugh like hell).  Come on in and say hey to The Big Dog...and let's see who he skewers THIS time.....

Bryan Allinsmith's musical experience includes membership in the The Finders and a number of other bands, continuing today with his solo career. Bryan's production experience began with the famed Bill Graham Presents and wound down the road through many years of international touring with such acts as Keb Mo, Gregg Allman, Def Leppard, and RUN DMC. He also owned Song Lab Productions; a live-event production company in Pasadena, CA. Bryan's recording experience began at Wally Heiders studio in San Francisco during the 70's, continuing today with the ownership of Wine Cellar Studios in Cincinnati, Ohio. These days Bryan is still a live animal and he can be found mixing FOH on
the national circuit. Check out his "Rants from the Road"

Volume  XIII of Johns column is in place. In this effort, John takes a look at sound in general, from the days of 78's thru todays heavily compressed digital audio. It's a fascinating subject will a wealth of views out there. As always, it's a great read.

Brian Allinsmith strikes again from the road. Currently touring with the Gin Blossoms as their live sound man, Brian has some great stories to share. He'll be adding his thoughts, opinions, and rants as he wanders about the US. This is free form,  unpredictable, and certainly humorous, and we bet you'll enjoy it.
Eddie interviews the very off the wall Lyle Sack, leader of Lyle Sack & His River Bitches, a group we like to call "Adult Country". We're happy to bring you part one of what turned out to be a very lengthly interview during which significant amounts of Corona Extra were consumed. But be warned.....Lyle continues to be rough around the edges, and many will find his language very offensive. So keep the little ones away. Enjoy.

A new and very strange author joins the squid family. We're not exactly sure of his mental stability, but this continuing story promises to entertain even the unbalanced .
