Eight of the 12 songs found on this CD have never seen the light of day, as they remained in the studio vaults until 1999. These eight songs:
Talk To Me
I'm The One
Don't Let It
Hideway
Think I'll Ask Her
I've Had It
Ain't No Use In Tryin'
Sweet Little User

were produced initially by Tony Secunda and The Finders, although the band parted ways with Secunda midway through the sessions. The 4 remaining songs appeared as 2 singles. The mix of
"
Bad Food" is a bit different than the original single release, as the "effects" in the single were boosted in level. The "Calling Dr. Howard" track is the original version, as the single was edited for language. The "Which Way" and "It's So Insane" tracks are the same as those found on the original single. The Bad Food/Dr.Howard single was originally released on the Finders own Alcatraz label, while the Which Way/So Insane single was released on the San Francisco based independent label Sky-Fi.

This CD of 4 track demos contain most of the songs found in the Finders formal CD rlease. These demos were recorded prior to the addition of Mark Newcomb to the band. There several songs on this CD that band members have recently commented on, wishing that they had been formally recorded. The band very rarely played music by other artists, but "I've Had It", and "Keep Your Hands Off My Baby" became popular spots on the Finders set list. Songs on this CD include: Don't Let It, Hold Tight, It All Works Out, Summer Love, Let's Go Home Tonight, Think I'll Ask Her, You're So Rogue, Ain't No Use In Tryin', Calling Dr. Howard, On And Off, I've Had It, Keep Your Hands Off Of My Baby, Which Way, Bad Food, Standin' In The Rain, It's So Insane, The Way It Goes.
Of note in this CD is the version of "
Bad Food". This demo version contains the original lyric line that was drastically altered for the eventual single release on the advise of counsel.

The Finders Live consists of 18 tracks, all recorded at Le Disque, The Palms, and The Mabuhay Gardens, all located in San Francisco. The recording quality ranges from not to good to not to bad, considering the mono tapes were created during some rather loud and packed performances. The tracks recorded at Le Disque and The Palms feature the original Finders, while the Mabuhay Gardens performances included later member Mark Newcomb. The tracks included are:  Think I'll Ask Her, Talk To Me, Down-Down-Down, Don't Cry To Me, Sweet Little User, Which Way, Hold Tight, I Want To Tell You, Standin' In The Rain, Hideaway, Somethin' Else, Don't Let It, Calling Dr. Howard, It's So Insane, I'm The One, I've Had It, and Bad Food.

This video collection includes the only professionally shot video of The Finders. Filmed by the Video West crew in San Francisco, the Calliing Dr. Howard performance made rotation on  then fledgling MTV.
The second and third segments feature a brief interview with selected band members and their manager. The live performances where shot at San Francisco's Punch Line during the Alex Bennett show, which was a top ranked radio program at the time, featuring comedians and musicians. The lighting was  very dark, but the spirit of the moment is certainly captured.
The final segment features never before seen video tape shot of the band lip synching to most all of the tracks found on the Demo's CD, plus a few surprises. This group of "Garage/practice" videos where shot at the bands  recording/rehersal area including the back yard, with an old RCA video camera (which probably weighed as much as a small car) recording onto a stationary early RCA VHS machine. The sound is a mono mix (no stereo VHS machines back then) of the stereo tracks found on the Demo's CD. In fact, all the sound on this DVD is mono. One additional note....this DVD is in the DVD+R format. All newer DVD players can play the new formats, but if you have an older machine, please make sure it is capable of this format before purchasing
. (Approx running time is 54 min)
